Prologue

I had a meeting with the hosts and discussed some issues regarding the running of the mirror.

The mirror is currently on a 1Gbps line in the DC at NUS Computer Center.

However, the firewall that sits in between the mirror and the internet limits traffic to about 100Mbps. That’s not barely enough for mirroring.

The mirror hosts have decided the following.

Update frequencies to be lowered to decrease the CPU load average to a manageable level
Statistics to be moved to the menu
Pydio service to be shut down
Owncloud to be updated to 9.0.0 and LDAP authentication will be conducted with user credentials

These changes will come in the near future.
